Fulcrum Stained Glass is a Rhode Island based stained glass design and fabrication studio dedicated to solid craftsmanship with an inclination to making glass more functional in today's world.
A New Era for Fulcrum Stained Glass
Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi was kind enough to bless my business with his time and preform a ribbon cutting ceremony on my newly-aquired brick and mortar stained glass studio in late June 2023! The grand opening party was a blast and I'm so thankful so many of you came to celebrate!
I am here to bridge the gap of sheet glass sales for Rhode Island and to give classes in stained glass construction in a more intimate setting, keeping class sizes small to allow for proper instruction and individual attention.
I am open by appointment only for in-store shopping. I can usually accommodate same day appointments. Please call or text 401.889.3760 for more info on class availability or click the button for more details on the types of classes I offer.
noun: fulcrum; plural noun: fulcra; plural noun: fulcrums:
the point on which a lever rests or is supported and on which it pivots.
When I was first learning how to do stained glass, I was scoring a sheet of glass and surprisingly it broke into a few pieces. This is because there was a tiny chip of glass left on the table, underneath the sheet I was cutting. This tiny glass chip had created a fulcrum, causing my glass sheet to break over it as pressure was applied while scoring. I had not swept the area clean before cutting. This became a running joke around the store and I got very used to hearing the word fulcrum. I still remembered that 20 years later and couldn't resist incorporating it into my own business name and logo. And it sounded cool too.
