Dichroic Streamer Earrings
Dichroic glass is a special glass that displays one color when light is transmitted and another when light is reflected.
It is made in a vacuum chamber where quartz crystal is vaporized and deposited on the surface of the glass. Dichroic glass can only be found on black or clear glass. On black glass, light is not transmitted so you only see one color, usually. Some dichroic glass can be made with patterns as well as a solid color.
These particular earrings are blue streamers and rainbow confetti on yellow and blue dichroic glass.
They are surprisingly lightweight and about 2" long, not including the hooks.
**All jewelry and glass pieces made to be worn on skin are always LEAD-FREE**
With Dichroic glass, it is difficult to capture all the colors with one photograph, that's why there are several. This is the same piece of glass with multiple angles.
